PostHeaderIcon Banana Goodness!

Im a total copier...When I picked Brynn up at Sarah's today after work, her house smelled so yummy! They had waffles for dinner....and I instantly started to crave them! So i made my way to safeway, got some waffle mix, and decided to add some bananas, and grabbed some sausage!

Got home and dug out the 'ol waffle iron! cooked up some sausage and we had a yummy breakfast for dinner!

Oh it was heaven! Thank you sarah for having waffles for dinner! Im so satisfied right now, i dont even think I need to have dessert!

PostHeaderIcon Carpooling!

So as most of you know, Steven and I both now work in Sonoma! Yep that is quite a drive for both of us. At first we didnt think we were going to be able to carpool cause our hours were going to be too different.
Well yesterday we realized that it costs us EACH about 20 per day to drive to work. THAT IS INSANE. with our commute and our other daily/weekend driving we spend close to ......are you ready.... $900 a month....JUST IN GAS. That is sickening.
So now that steven has been working in sonoma, and they have there reguar hours figured out carpooling wouldnt be that hard. I have flexable hours, and occasionaly I may have to wait for steven after work for a few minutes, but when we add up our savings it will be totally worth it! We can only carpool 3 days a week M-W as thursdays we have brynn and I take her to sarahs and i do the drop off & pick up, and fridays steven is off and sat im off. But three days a week is better than none! and thats more time steven and I get to spend together!
Today was the first day, we are working on the radio compromise......afternoons are going to be more challenging in that dept, as i really dont enjoy talk radio or baseball games.....

PostHeaderIcon Creatures......

Do you ever wonder who the first people were that decided that it would be a good idea to let creatures come in there house and live?
I wonder this quite often.

I have had several creatures in my lifetime. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of all of them in my computer to show you.

The first creature I remember having, Was Lady. Lady was a pit bull, and was quite possibly the best dog I have ever had. She belonged to my step dad when he met my mom, But quickly became attached to me. She slept at the foot of my bed, and when awake rarely left my side. She was tragically hit by a car on mothers day because someone left our gate open and she got out in the middle of the night. The people just left her in our driveway.....it was the first time I ever saw my step dad cry.

My second Creature was all mine. She was my gift from my parents on my 4th birthday. Her name was Sneaker, she was a beautiful Calico Cat. She loved to sleep on my pillow and ninnie on my hair and drool. She was tragically killed 4 or 5 years later on 4th of July-by my mom. Not intentionally, but she felt at fault. Sneaker somehow got into the dryer, and when we came home late from fireworks my mom threw the laundry into the dryer and turned it on. thinking nothing of the loud thump that came from the dryer as she was washing my brothers shoes.
In the morning she opened the dryer to find a horrible site of blood and a stiff cat. My parents were going to tell me that she ran away but my little brother overheard them and came running into my room jumping on my bed screaming "sneakers dead, sneakers dead!"

Someone tried to give me a cat to replace her, I guess they thought it would make me feel better. But I didn't like it, so i let it out and it ran away. OOPS.

we had some other animals, rabbits, chickens, dogs, but I never got really attached to them.
I finally got another cat when i was 17, a calico, and named her Gracie. She too loved to sleep on my pillow and ninny on my hair. I wonder if that is a calico trait?
When I was 19 I got into a car crash and when we were heading home from the hospital we saw these tiny kittens at a grocery store, I told my mom it would make me feel better, so she let me get one.
Then I moved out, where I couldn't have animals, so my cats stayed at my moms where they still live today, only they seem to like my moms neighbor better so they spend most of there time there. He buys them treats!

Then I got muppett, My little shih-tzu, who apparently liked my mom better than me, so she lives at my moms.

And we have chomper.......he likes to lick Stevens face and sleep under the blankets and lay in the sun. That is pretty much all he is good for. but he is cute.

And our latest addition Evil Kitty. Someone brought him into Stevens work when he was only a few days old. We took him so he wasn't killed, and bottle fed him.....he is mean and evil, likes to scratch and bite....unless HE is feeling love able......and he likes it when you watch him eat.

Well, those are all my creature stories. i still don't know why we feel we need to let creatures live in our homes.

PostHeaderIcon Our 4th of july!

We got her a pool. Its about 3 feet deep, ten feet diameter, she loves it.

then we went to fireworks in petaluma. "whats a luma? why do i pet it? "
Brynns new saying, she learned it from her Uma

Being silly with dad. The best kind of fun!

She laughs now, but do you think she will appriciate this humor when she is 16 and all her friends are there? cause you know he will never stop doing these things!

All Snuggly waiting to watch the Fireworks!

PostHeaderIcon Were juicers.

Yesterday, we stopped at Marys house on our way home from the Giants game....It was hot, I was thirsty. Mary made me some juice. OHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GODDDDDDDD. IT was sooooo friggin good. It was Apple, Watermelon, pineapple, orange.

well really it was all i thought about all night, and all day today. So we had a gift card to target, so we decided to take a stroll over there and see what they had in the juicer dept. SCORE! we got ourselves a juicer, I think its the white version of Marys. Then we went to Safeway where we spent 3 months pay on two carts of fruits and veggies. (OK not really, but i think this may be an expensive habit) and it was really only half a cart!

We came home started dinner, and made some juice.

I had........

strawberry, cucumber, Fuji apple. I'm not sure what Steven had......hell probably tell you all about it though.

I'm procrastinating the clean up and enjoying the juice...... I'm sure the mess will still be there when I'm done savoring this moment.... or maybe since Steven touched it last i should make him clean it!

So tell me what are your favorite juice recipes so far?
