PostHeaderIcon Carpooling!

So as most of you know, Steven and I both now work in Sonoma! Yep that is quite a drive for both of us. At first we didnt think we were going to be able to carpool cause our hours were going to be too different.
Well yesterday we realized that it costs us EACH about 20 per day to drive to work. THAT IS INSANE. with our commute and our other daily/weekend driving we spend close to ......are you ready.... $900 a month....JUST IN GAS. That is sickening.
So now that steven has been working in sonoma, and they have there reguar hours figured out carpooling wouldnt be that hard. I have flexable hours, and occasionaly I may have to wait for steven after work for a few minutes, but when we add up our savings it will be totally worth it! We can only carpool 3 days a week M-W as thursdays we have brynn and I take her to sarahs and i do the drop off & pick up, and fridays steven is off and sat im off. But three days a week is better than none! and thats more time steven and I get to spend together!
Today was the first day, we are working on the radio compromise......afternoons are going to be more challenging in that dept, as i really dont enjoy talk radio or baseball games.....

Gak, $900, how awful. Gas is killing us too, but not quite that bad. JJ, with his diesel-guzzling mega-van, and me with my work across town and a truck tend to rack up the gas bill, we spend about $500-$600 a month....

LOL. Sounds like fun though!

Yuck! I am dreading the drive to Disneyland at $4.50 a gallon! Carpooling is good for the wallet AND good for the planet. Go Monica!

Since I am trapped at home with Wyatt and Nate rides his bike to work we average about $150-$200 a month on gas. We save a lot in that area because of the daycare. I think I should factor that into how much I "make". A penny saved is a penny earned right?

I live a whoppin' half mile from work... I will not share my 2.5 minutes of alone time...

even if it is 5 dollars a gallon.

congrats on your commute time, Savanna will appreciate the extra money when you are out of work for maternity leave.
